On site repair to oak veneered door

This oak veneered door had been damaged due to a flood in a basement. Regrettably, before calling us someone had attempted to sand out the stain and in doing so had rubbed through the veneer in parts, exposing the chipboard substrate. This made a perfect repair impossible. Nevertheless, work was carried out on site to attempt to make good the door as best as possible. The affected area was bleached to remove the stain, then re-coloured and lacquered where needed.
