Walnut wind out dining table

This walnut wind out dining table was in danger of collapsing in the middle, as can be seen from the photos. The runners on which the table extends had completely worn down (not unusual on these) and were falling out of the corresponding grooves on the extending mechanism. New runners and re-profiled groves were made and fitted and the table top re-polished in heat resistant pale polish.
